Putu is a bright and joyful young girl who just wants to play with her friends and be part of the neighborhood fun. But without a wheelchair, it’s hard for her to join in.

In the blink of an eye, we are nearly in a new year, and as we look back on the last 12 months, we know there are so many people who contributed to Solemen Indonesia.

Like many, the pandemic brought about great change for us and tremendous hardship as tourism stopped and so did much of our fundraising via the lovely visitors to Bali.

Most of the time, Outreach Team visits will include helping the patient to get a shower, change clothes, cleaning their place before we give their monthly injection, and checking if the oral medication is given regularly by the family members.

Solemen’s programs for people with mental illness consist of undertaking assessment, providing medication, rehabilitating, and reintegrating.

Solemen’s Outreach Team currently services remote communities from its headquarters in Kuta.Two vehicles travel around Bali daily.

We conduct regular visits to check patients’ health, delivering food parcels and medications.
