SOLEFAMILY NEWSLETTER JUNE 2026

Welcome to SoleFamily June Newsletter! We are deeply thankful to each one of you for your kindness, support, and belief in our mission to bring hope, care, and connection to our SoleBuddy and their families across Bali. It’s a blessing to have you as a part of our journey. Together, we continue to effect meaningful change, making a difference–one life, one family, and one act of compassion at a time.

Out and About
We successfully held our first workshop in Karangasem, bringing together 71 enthusiastic participants who were eager to attend and take part in the session. The workshop focused on balanced nutrition, offering practical guidance on how nutritious meals can be prepared and served at home, with a special emphasis on meeting the dietary needs of children.

This project was made possible through the full support of Melwolf Foundation, whose contribution played a key role in bringing the workshop to life. The strong turnout and active participation reflect a growing awareness within the Karangasem community about the importance of proper nutrition, and SoleFamily hopes this marks the beginning of many more initiatives aimed at improving family health and well-being.

SoleBuddy Highlight
We are proud to spotlight one of our remarkable SoleBuddies, Juli Arnaya, who celebrated his 13th birthday with a heart full of gratitude and joy. Despite bravely fighting osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer, Juli continues to inspire everyone around him with his positivity and resilience. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment, a demanding journey that requires tremendous strength from both him and his family.

As part of his recovery, Juli and his family now need consistent access to milk, nutrition and multivitamins to help sustain his strength throughout this stage of treatment. We are reaching out to donors for support in meeting these essential needs. Your generosity, no matter the size, can bring real relief to Juli and his family as they navigate this challenging chapter together.

The Legendary Clown Troupe
We are absolutely delighted to share that SoleCentre recently welcomed a group of legendary clowns from the Patch Adams Institute for a truly special visit. Their presence brought an incredible wave of joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone in our community. It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful simple moments of connection and playfulness can be, especially for our solebuddies.

Throughout the day, our solebuddies were all smiles, laughing freely and soaking in every moment of the fun. Their happiness was truly contagious, and it made for one of the most heartwarming days at SoleCentre in recent memory. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rumah Daisy Cantik for making this joyful experience possible. Your support means the world to us and to every solebuddy who was touched by this special day.
